Shoes, shoes, shoes! Everyone love shoes especially when they are chic and higher brands!
I had the opportunity to shoot my first shoe commercial editorial campaign for Carriage Hill & Co.; a luxury Italian brand. These chic Oxford shoes are made out of Italian leather.
For this campaign I went for a luxurious aesthetic to help elevate the shoes. I choose to use silk fabrics to complement the lux feel of the shoes and went for minimalistic shots to represent style, timeless, yet modern and sophisticated vibe. I also experimented with lines and texture as well as propping with other objects to showcase the shoes’ design. Carrige Hill & Co. also sells shirts as well, so I added in a few shirts here and there that will compliment the shoe to sell a look to the consumer.
The lighting was designed specifically to make the product stand out, shine and create the feel of a luxury product. Emerald green was chosen to for the backdrop color because it is associated with luxurious and it brings a elegant vibe to the image.
When it comes to product photography, you have to think outside of the box. There are numerous ways to shot shoes, but you have to be creative and plan out thoroughly how to place and light the product to be appealing to the eye. I enjoy shooting with products because it allows me to be creative and play with various ideas- trail and error experiment.
